![]() ![]() Taking to Twitter yesterday afternoon, Ninja expressed his disgust over the porn stream popping up on his Twitch page and apologized to his fans still on the site. Ninja’s reaction to the incident was understandable outrage, as Twitch had never gotten his permission to use his brand to promote other streams and now had accidentally tied his brand image to pornography. The stream, which sat up for several hours, quickly hit number one on the section, thus ending up being rehosted on Ninja’s old page. While already a controversial move in the streaming community, the issue came to a head over the weekend when a stream showing nothing but porn took off in the Fortnite section of the site. Twitch quickly made the move to remove his subscribers and affiliate status, further taking the extra step of promoting other streamers on the site by having his page rehost the highest watched Fortnite streams. The madness began after Ninja left Twitch two weeks ago for rival platform Mixer in a reported $10 million a year deal. ![]() It was an embarrassing weekend for Twitch these past few days, as the popular streaming site accidentally allowed a porn stream to run rampant across the site, including on Ninja’s old stream page. ![]()
